ROLE SUMMARY

The Receivables Management Associate (RMA) plays a vital role within the Accounting Department, concentrating on the management of invoices, payment registrations, and the resolution of account discrepancies. This position serves as the primary liaison between wholesale clients and Oberalp regarding any billing or credit inquiries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Processing and posting of sales invoices and credit notes.
  • Conducting daily bank imports.
  • Recording and applying received payments.
  • Submitting invoices through the EDI portal.
  • Performing customer account reconciliations.
  • Maintaining customer account information.
  • Establishing customer credit limits and conducting risk assessments.
  • Ensuring compliance with credit insurance policies.
  • Monitoring credit agency reports and attending relevant meetings.
  • Processing credit card transactions.
  • Distributing monthly statements for overdue accounts.
  • Communicating monthly customer account balances to sales representatives.
  • Engaging in customer communications via email and phone.
  • Generating regular accounts receivable reports.
  • Managing blocked shipments.
  • Collaborating with Customer Service and Sales teams on order and shipment planning.
  • Uploading vendor invoices into document management systems.
  • Providing support to the Finance and Administration Manager as required.
  • Assisting the Oberalp Management team as needed.
  • Supporting the Evolv Brand and related services as necessary.
  • Conducting routine and ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Handling office management tasks, including ordering supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting or Accounts Receivable is preferred.
  • Familiarity with standard accounting concepts, procedures, and practices, including US GAAP and month-end processes.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Experience with ERP systems is required; familiarity with Microsoft Navision or Business Central is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients.
  • Effective time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and working independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to work.
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a passion for success are essential.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to assist in various capacities within a team environment are necessary.
  • A love for the outdoors, particularly in mountain sports such as backcountry skiing, climbing, or trail running, is a plus.
