Position Summary: The Receiving Clerk I plays a crucial role in managing the receipt and routing of all incoming supplies, materials, equipment, and documentation in accordance with established policies. This position requires meticulous documentation of all receipts in the receiving archive and the ERP system as mandated.
Position Type: Full Time
Compensation: Salary will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records.
- Verify received items against packing lists and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in part numbers and quantities.
- Input receiving traceability data into the ERP system with precision.
- Review purchase order requirements against all received documents.
- Prepare necessary documentation for receiving inspections and final processing.
- Conduct initial inspections for obvious defects and notify the Receiving Inspection team and Buyer as needed.
- Collaborate closely with Buyers and Engineering to address issues with rejected component parts.
- Efficiently move products to designated areas upon completion of processing.
- Ensure positive traceability of products from unpacking to final processing.
- Identify and report any operational issues, faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas and equipment.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn about processes and components in detail, taking ownership of responsibilities.
- Handle all items safely and efficiently.
- Scan and label receiving documents accurately.
- Transport materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing zones.
- Identify and label materials, recording their locations to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Conduct and report cycle counts as required.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a receiving role.
- Preferred 2 years of data entry experience with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Prior administrative experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new software systems.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to foster effective working relationships within the department and across the company.
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Working Environment:
This position operates within a professional office setting that is part of a manufacturing environment. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines will be utilized.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this role include sitting for extended periods, with occasional standing, bending, reaching, and walking. Light physical effort is required, including the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
