Associate Director of Development

Emory University is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Development to join our Advancement and Alumni Engagement team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations to support the university's mission.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies for identifying and soliciting major gifts from key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and volunteers to advance the university's fundraising goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the university to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies.
- Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors, including identifying new opportunities and stewarding existing relationships.
- Write and edit compelling proposals, reports, and other fundraising materials.
- Travel to meet with donors and prospects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in fundraising or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in major gift fundraising, including identifying and soliciting gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, alumni, and volunteers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
