Job Title: Associate Director of Development

Emory University is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Development to join our Advancement and Alumni Engagement team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations to support the university's mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for identifying and soliciting major gifts from key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and volunteers to advance the university's fundraising goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the university to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies.
  • Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors, including identifying new opportunities and stewarding existing relationships.
  • Write and edit compelling proposals, reports, and other fundraising materials.
  • Travel to meet with donors and prospects as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in fundraising or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in major gift fundraising, including identifying and soliciting gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, alumni, and volunteers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
