Insurance Claims Analyst I

POSITION SUMMARY
The role involves investigating insurance claim rejections, assessing the legitimacy of claims, and, when warranted, adjusting and resubmitting claims through various channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investigates claim denials, analyzes and rebills as needed to ensure optimal payment accuracy and minimize accounts receivable days.
- Engages with the Business Office or clinical personnel regarding coverage issues and claim denials, as necessary.
- Maintains aged accounts receivable to remain under 120 days.
- Upholds a strong commitment to integrity and precision in claims processing.
- Completes additional tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred: One year of experience in insurance billing and claims analysis.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on business-related studies.
- Proficient in ten-key, computer/data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
