Claims Processing Specialist I

Investigates insurance claim rejections, assesses the legitimacy of the claims, and when applicable, is accountable for modifying and resubmitting the claims through various channels.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examines claim denials, analyzes and reprocesses as needed to ensure optimal payment accuracy and minimize accounts receivable days.
- Engages with the Business Office or clinical personnel regarding coverage issues and denials, as necessary.
- Maintains aged accounts receivable to be less than 120 days.
- Upholds a strong commitment to integrity and precision in claims processing.
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Preferred one year of experience in insurance billing and claims analysis.
- High school diploma or equivalent with a focus on business-related subjects.
- Proficient in ten-key, computer/data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
