Insurance Claims Processing Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
The role involves investigating insurance claim rejections, assessing the legitimacy of claims, and when necessary, adjusting and resubmitting claims through various channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investigates claim denials, analyzes and rebills as required to ensure optimal payment accuracy and minimize accounts receivable days.
- Engages with the Business Office or clinical personnel regarding coverage issues and claim denials when appropriate.
- Maintains aged accounts receivable to be less than 120 days.
- Upholds a strong commitment to integrity and precision in claims processing.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of one year experience in insurance billing and claims analysis preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent with a focus on business-related studies.
- Proficient in ten-key, computer/data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
