The Property Claims Adjuster II plays a vital role in assisting clients during challenging times, ensuring they receive exceptional service while navigating the complexities of property claims.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough investigations of homeowner claims with moderate complexity, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
2. Document findings through photographs, measurements, and recorded interviews, and prepare detailed repair estimates.
3. Perform field inspections, dedicating at least 50% of work time to on-site evaluations of damaged properties.
4. Utilize virtual technology to manage claims when necessary, collaborating with vendors and insured parties to assess damages.
5. Evaluate policy coverage against gathered facts to determine claim eligibility, extending or denying coverage as appropriate.
6. Establish reserve amounts within settlement authority limits and negotiate claim settlements, seeking supervisor approval for claims exceeding personal authority.
7. Maintain effective communication with insured clients and their representatives, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries and adherence to regulatory requirements.
8. Manage claims workload efficiently, monitoring progress and expenses to achieve timely resolutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain state-specific property claims licensing.
- Completion of a formal property claims training program is required.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Xactimate is essential.
- 3-5+ years of relevant industry experience is preferred, with a background in customer service, construction, or restoration being advantageous.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
