Role Summary:

As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our operations, providing essential support to our practitioners and ensuring smooth administrative processes. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining high standards of patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming communications with professionalism, ensuring confidentiality and high-quality service.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary.
  • Assist in managing practitioners' schedules to enhance efficiency and patient care.
  • Support administrative tasks such as patient record management and insurance information collection.
  • Facilitate effective communication among practitioners, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain compliance with confidentiality regulations and ensure secure handling of patient information.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of administrative procedures and patient communication strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on compassionate patient interaction.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with medical practice management software and electronic health records.
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology and private practice operations.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training in administrative support or medical administration is advantageous.
