About MyBambu:

MyBambu is an innovative fintech platform designed to provide a comprehensive mobile financial solution for underserved communities, primarily targeting Hispanic populations. Our mission is to enhance financial inclusion by offering accessible services such as checking accounts without credit checks, remittance services, bill payments, and mobile top-ups. In recognition of our efforts, we received the FIS Impact Award for innovation in 2020, and we are committed to empowering users through a bilingual, user-friendly mobile experience tailored to diverse needs.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends from 9 AM to 5 PM and 12 PM to 8 PM.

MyBambu participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each new hire's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.

This full-time position reports to the Social Media Customer Service Manager. The Social Media Specialist is an integral part of our in-house marketing team, responsible for building a social media presence and promoting the company's brand. You will engage with our audience through posts, comments, and replies, developing a relatable company voice. Additionally, you will monitor online mentions of the company to manage the impact of negative feedback and share positive testimonials, thereby strengthening customer relationships. Most importantly, you will address all inquiries and concerns received through MyBambu's social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to direct messages across various social media platforms.
  • Collaborate and communicate with different departments as required.
  • Follow up on cases created in Salesforce.
  • Utilize bilingual communication effectively.
  • Social Media Management: Maintain and enhance the brand's presence through effective communication with clients, addressing concerns, and fostering trust across all social platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in both Spanish and English are essential to reach our target demographic.
  • Technical Proficiency: A tech-savvy mindset is crucial, with basic knowledge of Salesforce, Social Studio, Excel, and CRM tools.
  • Research Skills: Stay updated on social media trends, identify new tools, and engage in real-time online conversations, along with basic analytical skills.
  • Time Management: Organize tasks effectively to meet deadlines, as this role requires managing a 24-hour revolving door of social media interactions.
  • Creativity: Basic skills in WordPress and Photoshop are beneficial.

  • Comfortable working independently and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Effective communication with individuals and groups, both in writing and verbally.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Availability for weekends and evenings in exceptional circumstances.
  • Quick learner, self-motivated, and capable of making informed decisions.
  • Adaptable to changing demands to meet management and company needs.
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce, Excel, Social Studio, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Requirements:

  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service, preferably in social media engagement.
  • Experience managing multiple platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Preferred one year of experience with Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of content management systems and email marketing best practices.
  • Ability to assist in various operations as needed within any specific department.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel formulas and functions.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and detail-oriented work.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
