Job Overview

The Fatherhood Engagement Specialist is tasked with promoting positive involvement of fathers in the upbringing of their children. This role includes providing consistent training, resources, and information to women of all ages regarding the significance of fathers and father figures in family dynamics. The Specialist will cultivate and sustain partnerships with organizations that support mothers and families, actively participating in community events to raise awareness about the program.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate training sessions utilizing materials approved by the Program Manager.
  • Assist in evaluating the success of program objectives.
  • Compile and present monthly progress reports to the Program Manager and Advisory Board.
  • Engage in continuous professional development as directed by the Program Manager.
  • Adhere to and enforce organizational policies and guidelines.
  • Perform additional reasonable tasks as assigned by the Program Manager.
  • Availability for occasional weekend and evening responsibilities.

Relationship Management:

  • Internal: Maintain regular communication with team members and supervisors to exchange information and address concerns.
  • External: Build and nurture relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and volunteers to enhance recruitment and problem-solving efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred BA degree or a minimum of five years of relevant experience in social services, education, or youth development.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated collaborator capable of fostering partnerships across various organizational levels.
  • Effective planning, scheduling, and organizational skills to meet or exceed deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently, assessing situations to determine appropriate actions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
