  • Participate in newscast anchoring, including delivering scripts and conducting interviews.
  • Report live from various locations under diverse weather conditions, ensuring dynamic engagement with the audience.
  • Conduct live interviews with community members and experts.
  • Engage in community outreach initiatives and public events.
  • Collaborate closely with management and meteorological teams to enhance coverage depth and context.
  • Provide leadership and direction to fellow meteorologists during critical weather events.
  • Assist management in strategic planning for significant weather occurrences.
  • Exhibit extensive knowledge of tropical meteorology.
  • Collaborate with the meteorology team to deliver essential hurricane coverage during emergencies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Comprehensive understanding of weather data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Ability to convey weather information clearly and concisely.
  • Proactive in sharing content across various platforms.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-driven and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; proof of insurance may be required.
  • Passion for all aspects of meteorology.
  • Proficient in explaining the science of weather and its daily implications for viewers.
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to create innovative computer-generated graphics, including animated and lifestyle-impact visuals.
  • Familiarity with newsroom computer systems and social media platforms.
  • Experience in both studio and field reporting.
