  • Create engaging graphics and visual presentations of weather information.
  • Report on diverse topics and compose articles for digital platforms, broadcasts, and special segments.
  • Engage in newscast anchoring, including script delivery and conducting interviews.
  • Provide live reports from various locations under different weather conditions, ensuring dynamic interaction.
  • Conduct live interviews with relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives and public events.
  • Collaborate closely with management and meteorological teams to enhance coverage depth and context.
  • Guide and support fellow meteorologists during critical weather events.
  • Assist in strategic planning for significant weather occurrences.
  • Exhibit a profound understanding of tropical meteorology.
  • Work collaboratively with the meteorology team to deliver essential hurricane coverage during emergencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Meteorology.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Extensive knowledge of weather data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Ability to convey weather information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficient in creating and sharing content across various platforms.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-driven and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; proof of insurance may be required.
  • Passion for all aspects of meteorology.
  • Ability to articulate the science of weather and its everyday implications for viewers.
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Competence in developing dynamic computer-generated graphics, including animated and lifestyle-impact visuals.
  • Familiarity with newsroom computer systems and social media.
  • Experience in both studio and field reporting.
