About the Role

Benchling is seeking a motivated and results-driven SMB Account Executive to drive new business within your territory. As an essential member of our team, you will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various personas within small and medium-sized accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pipeline Generation: Identify new business opportunities, engage multiple personas, and utilize strategies to generate leads.
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop accurate sales forecasts, leveraging data to inform decision-making and ensure predictable revenue outcomes.
  • Solution Selling: Effectively communicate the value of Benchling's platform, tailoring presentations and proposals to meet the specific needs of each prospect.

You will also lead negotiations with potential clients, address key stakeholders, navigate organizational complexities, and secure new business agreements. Additionally, you will work across multiple personas within an account to understand their unique needs and align Benchling's solutions with their business objectives.

Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Sales Development Representative or 1-2 years of experience as an Account Executive.
  • Knowledge of the life sciences industry, including R&D, and/or IT functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive pipeline generation and manage complex sales cycles.

  • Competitive salary range: $75,000 - $105,300 (base salary) with total on-target earnings of $150,000 - $210,600.
