Head Chef and Operations Manager

We are a local bay area brand that prides itself on serving fresh, high-quality food made in-house using only the finest ingredients. Our commitment to using only the best ingredients has earned us a loyal customer base, and we are now looking for an experienced Executive Chef to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at our soon-to-open Palo Alto location. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our menu, managing our food costs, and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are met.
Responsibilities- Culinary Leadership: Develop and implement our menu, ensuring that it is fresh, innovative, and meets the high standards of our brand.
- Food Cost Management: Manage our food costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that we are getting the best value for our money.
- Staff Management: Lead and manage our culinary team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that they are able to deliver exceptional service and quality.
- Menu Development: Develop new menu items and recipes, ensuring that they are fresh, innovative, and meet the high standards of our brand.
- Quality Control: Ensure that our food meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and sanitation.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that our customers have a positive experience every time they visit us.
- Vendor Management: Manage our relationships with vendors, ensuring that we are getting the best value for our money and that our suppliers are meeting our high standards.
- Inventory Management: Manage our inventory, ensuring that we have the right products in stock at the right time.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for our culinary team, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge they need to deliver exceptional service and quality.
- Culinary Degree: A culinary degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or food service operation is required.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, and customers.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to ensure that our food meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
