Community Support Team Mental Health Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Support Team Qualified Professional to join our team at SouthLight Healthcare.
Job Summary
This is a community-based role that covers Durham and Orange counties (NC). As our Qualified Professional, you will meet with mental health/substance use clients in the community, client homes, local establishments, and offices, to provide support and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate interventions to the CST caseload under the supervision of the team lead
- Provide case management services as necessary
- Provide assertive engagement to appropriate clients
- Meet with clients in the community, homes, and offices, as needed (remain within the location ratio specified in service definition)
- Assist with beneficiary housing search, including engaging landlords to rent to beneficiaries and writing reasonable accommodation letters
Requirements
- Educational and Experience
- QP Status
- Two years' experience working directly with adults struggling with mental health and substance use disorders
- Two years of experience working in community mental health setting preferred
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Flexible and coachable demeanor
- Ability to develop rapport with clients and other professionals in variety of settings
- Ability and skills to set firm boundaries with clients
- Excellent clinical skills including: evidence based practices, diagnostic information (DSM 5), substance use intervention
- High degree of computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, & electronic medical records)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Comfortable working independently in the community
- Ability to manage crisis situations both in-person and over the phone

After 6 months employees are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. Company paid life insurance, short and long term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and additional pay for working holidays. SouthLight is also an approved employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
The starting salary for this role is estimated to be around $41,600 per year, based on a 40 hour work week and an hourly wage of $21.00. However, please note that actual salaries may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
