Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty in Mathematics to join our team. As a Mathematics Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Math courses at various times and locations, creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material, and evaluating students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives.

This is a part-time position, contingent upon student demand, with a maximum of five classes per academic year. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse student population and contribute to the educational environment of the college and the community.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about teaching and committed to academic excellence. If you are a motivated and dedicated individual with a Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Math courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives
  • Meet with and advise students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints and work collaboratively with colleagues
