Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty in Mathematics to join our team. As a Mathematics Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Math courses at various times and locations, creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material, and evaluating students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives.

This is a part-time position, contingent upon student demand, with a maximum of five classes per academic year. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and colleagues, and contribute to the educational environment of the college and the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Math courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives
  • Meet with and advise students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mathematics or Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics or Statistics
