Position Overview:


Reporting directly to the Director of Global Sourcing, the Global Procurement Manager will oversee supplier relationships on a global scale, manage total expenditure, and ensure strategic procurement across designated supply categories while monitoring financial and operational performance.

This role encompasses the complete sourcing and procurement lifecycle, including the formulation and execution of strategies, risk assessment, supplier identification and selection, negotiation, order management, invoice resolution, reporting, and budget forecasting.

The Global Procurement Manager will collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to enhance the global product development process, ensuring the integration of strategic supplier partnerships into new product innovation.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement global strategic sourcing and risk management strategies for the assigned supply categories.
Align these strategies with the overall business objectives and new product growth initiatives.

Establish and nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders across various locations to guarantee successful execution and alignment of sourcing and risk strategies, as well as ongoing supplier engagements.

Build and maintain robust partnerships with suppliers.
Conduct regular business reviews with suppliers to optimize Total Procured Value and drive continuous improvements in operational and financial supply chain performance.

Manage sourcing processes, including requests for information, quotations, proposals, and bidding activities.
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms of supply agreements to achieve Total Procured Value goals.

Collaborate with the Supplier Quality team to evaluate new and existing supplier capabilities, driving performance enhancements to ensure compliance with quality standards for all raw materials, components, and products.

Achieve annual financial and operational targets.

Work alongside suppliers and internal teams to identify Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) opportunities and spearhead initiatives aimed at reducing costs, eliminating inefficiencies, and ensuring supply reliability.

Maintain proactive communication and collaboration with internal engineering, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, and product development teams regarding supply chain statuses, priorities, and issue resolution.

Continuously assess supplier category markets to identify new suppliers, analyze market conditions, and understand trends related to cost drivers and global pricing, ensuring our strategic sourcing remains competitive.

Maintain clear, effective, and timely communication across all levels of the organization.
Define, develop, and implement regular reporting to management as necessary.

Quickly synthesize and communicate potential supply issues to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders while proactively identifying and executing mitigation or resolution strategies to minimize any adverse impact on material flow.

In collaboration with Product Development and Quality Assurance, ensure alignment of all specifications and documentation between the company and its strategic suppliers.

Supervisory Duties:


As a seasoned sourcing professional, the Global Procurement Manager will serve as a resource for guidance and direction to less experienced procurement staff.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Materials Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
8+ years of experience in operations and/or supply management, with at least 4 years in sourcing or supply management roles.
Professional certification in supply chain management, such as CPSM or equivalent, is desirable.
Experience in sourcing various electrical and electronic components (active, passive, electro-mechanical) is essential.
Strong understanding of global electronics supply chains, including OEMs, contract manufacturers, and distributors.
A proven track record in managing strategic sourcing capabilities, driving strategy and operational performance, and delivering total procurement value.
A strong commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus, with an emphasis on effective communication.
Proficient in leading cross-functional, multi-location projects on a global scale.
Familiarity with Bills of Materials and manufacturing processes is advantageous.

Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders using data, risk/benefit analysis, and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) is required.
Experience with ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms, and RFQ tools is preferred.
Working knowledge of contractual terms, clauses, and conditions is advantageous.
