Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Good Shepherd Services, Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of personnel administration, including recruitment, training, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Recruitment and Hiring
  • Work closely with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Coordinate the hiring process, including advertising job openings, screening applications, and conducting interviews.
Employee Relations
  • Maintain a positive and respectful work environment, ensuring that all employees feel valued and supported.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
Training and Development
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to help them achieve their career goals.
Personnel Administration
  • Manage personnel records, including employee files, benefits, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including employment laws, workers' compensation, and benefits.
Benefits and Compensation
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
  • Develop and implement compensation strategies to ensure fair and competitive pay practices.
Reporting and Analytics
  • Provide regular reports to management on HR metrics, including employee turnover, time-to-hire, and benefits utilization.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  1. Education
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Human Resources or a related field.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a long-term care facility.
Certifications
  • Professional Human Resource (PHR) certification preferred.
Working Conditions

The Human Resources Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with employees, management, and external vendors. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
