Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Specialist to join our team at Good Shepherd Services, Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Recruitment and Hiring
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Source and screen candidates, ensuring compliance with our hiring practices and policies.
  • Coordinate the hiring process, including interviews, background checks, and onboarding.
Employee Relations and Engagement
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with employees, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a fair and timely manner.
  • Develop and implement employee recognition and reward programs to promote engagement and motivation.
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to management.
Benefits Administration and Compliance
  • Administer and maintain accurate records of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Process leave of absence requests and ensure timely notification to management and employees.
HR Operations and Administration
  • Manage personnel files, including employee data, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide HR support to management, including training and development programs, employee communications, and conflict resolution.
Reporting and Analytics
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics and reports, including turnover rates, time-to-hire, and employee satisfaction surveys.
  • Provide data-driven insights to management, informing strategic decisions and HR initiatives.
Requirements
  1. Education
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration.
Certifications
  • Professional Human Resource (PHR) certification preferred.
