Position Overview

As a Senior Consultant at Ramboll, you will collaborate with Project Managers and fellow Consultants on various ecological initiatives. This role offers a chance to engage in diverse environmental assessment and remediation projects, compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety protocols, sustainability efforts, and due diligence tasks within our extensive Environment and Health division.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science, accompanied by 4-8 years of experience in Stormwater Management project planning and design.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Professional Engineer certification or similar credentials.
  • Physical demands of this role may involve climbing, kneeling, standing, and lifting up to 40 lbs, along with exposure to varying weather conditions and potential hazards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong quantitative and interpersonal abilities.
  • A solid work ethic and a professional demeanor.
  • Proactive approach to assignments, demonstrating initiative.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulics is advantageous.
  • Experience in stormwater management, civil design, project planning, and technical report writing is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • OSHA 40 certification is a plus.
  • A collaborative spirit and a willingness to learn new skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the design and permitting processes for various industrial stormwater and water resource projects.
  • Overseeing the construction phases of projects.
  • Supporting stormwater management initiatives.
  • Conducting sampling and inspections for stormwater and wastewater across diverse site conditions.
  • Performing engineering calculations.
  • Assisting senior personnel in preparing technical reports and compiling analytical data.
  • Participating in travel and fieldwork, primarily within the U.S.
  • Collaborating with a team of water resources engineers and environmental scientists.
