Currently, we are seeking a dedicated and career-focused Application Developer who is prepared to work on-site as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop applications utilizing traditional SQL-based database management systems (Postgres).
  • Conduct unit testing and develop automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, SoapUI, and Postman.
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and optimize performance.
  • Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and associated frameworks (Dojo, JQuery, Node).
  • Create reusable Java libraries.
  • Utilize relational databases (Oracle or PostgreSQL).
  • Develop code within Linux environments.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including preparing and delivering presentations to management.
  • Implement necessary security controls as mandated by federal information systems.
  • Collaborate with tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, CentOS Linux, and Python.
  • Engage in development practices using Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Apply knowledge of SAFe frameworks.
  • Understand and utilize common software architectural styles and patterns.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 2 or more years of relevant experience preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with Java on an enterprise level.
  • Proficient in requirement analysis, software design, development, integration, bug fixing, and testing.
  • Experience with Java (Spring-boot), Node, JavaScript, and Angular.
  • Skilled in RESTful API design and development.
  • Familiarity with Java and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.
  • Experience in developing test cases and automated testing with tools like SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium, and Groovy.
  • Expertise in developing applications using traditional SQL-based database management systems (Postgres).
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for preparing and delivering presentations to management.
  • Experience in developing RESTful microservice architectures for web and application services.
  • Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate.
  • Experience with NoSQL data management systems and full-text searching.
  • Ability to implement security controls required by federal information systems.
  • Experience in automating application deployments.
  • Proficient in developing with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Support development efforts using Agile Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 2 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with AWS Technologies.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services GovCloud, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo), CloudFormation, and Data Analytics Tools.
  • A collaborative team player willing to work under the guidance of Senior Software Engineers.
  • Knowledge of SAFe methodologies.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Applicants must possess an active Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move around the office to access various resources.
  • Frequently operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • May need to position oneself to maintain computers in the lab environment.
  • Regularly communicate with colleagues and management, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • May be required to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,300-$140,000, influenced by factors such as relevant experience, skills, geographic location, education, and certifications.
