Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop applications utilizing traditional SQL-based database management systems (Postgres).
  • Conduct unit testing and automated test development using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, SoapUI, and Postman.
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization of application performance.
  • Utilize HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and associated frameworks (Dojo, JQuery, Node).
  • Create reusable Java libraries.
  • Work with relational databases (Oracle or PostgreSQL).
  • Develop applications within Linux environments.
  • Ensure effective communication skills for preparing and delivering presentations and documentation to management.
  • Implement necessary security measures as mandated by federal information systems.
  • Collaborate with tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, CentOS Linux, and Python.
  • Engage in development practices using Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SAFe principles.
  • Understand and apply common software architectural styles and patterns.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 2 or more years of relevant experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with Java in an enterprise environment.
  • Proficient in requirement analysis, software design, development, integration, debugging, and testing.
  • Experience with Java (Spring Boot), Node, JavaScript, and Angular.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
  • Proficient in Java and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.
  • Development of test cases and automated testing using tools like SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium, and Groovy.
  • Experience with traditional SQL-based database management systems (Postgres).
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting information to management.
  • Development of RESTful microservice architectures for web and application services.
  • Familiarity with Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate.
  • Experience with NoSQL data management systems and full-text searching.
  • Implementation of security controls as required by federal information systems.
  • Automation of application deployments.
  • Development experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Support for Agile Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 2 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services GovCloud, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc.), CloudFormation, and Data Analytics Tools (PowerBI, Quicksight, Jasper).
  • Proficient in using Docker, Eclipse IDE, and Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats).
  • Team-oriented individual willing to collaborate with Senior Software Engineers.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SAFe principles.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Applicants must possess an active Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move within the office to access various resources.
  • Regularly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Frequently communicate with colleagues and management, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • May be required to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,300-$140,000, with various factors influencing the final salary, including experience, skills, and geographic location.
