Key Responsibilities:

  • Crafting applications utilizing traditional SQL-based database management systems (Postgres).
  • Conducting unit tests and developing automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, SoapUI, and Postman.
  • Engaging in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and associated frameworks (Dojo, JQuery, Node).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present materials to management.

  • Utilizing GIT, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, CentOS Linux, and Python.
  • Developing within Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SAFe frameworks.
  • Understanding and applying common software architectural styles and patterns.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience with Java in an enterprise environment.
  • Skills in requirement analysis, software design, development, integration, debugging, and testing.
  • Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot), Node, JavaScript, and Angular.
  • Experience in RESTful API design and development.
  • Knowledge of Java and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.
  • Test case development and automated testing using tools like SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium, and Groovy.
  • Developing applications with traditional SQL-based database management systems (Postgres).
  • Debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning expertise.
  • Strong communication skills for preparing and delivering presentations to management.
  • Designing RESTful microservice architectures for web and application services.
  • Development experience with Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL data management systems and full-text search capabilities.
  • Implementing necessary security controls for federal information systems.
  • Automating application deployment processes.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Supporting development in Agile Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of AWS technologies.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services GovCloud, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo), CloudFormation, and data analytics tools (PowerBI, Quicksight, Jasper).
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate with senior software engineers.
  • Experience in Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of SAFe principles.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess an active Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally moving within the office to access files and equipment.
  • Regularly operating a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Positioning oneself to maintain computers in the lab, including under desks and in server closets.
  • Frequently communicating with colleagues and management, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Potentially moving audio/visual or computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across a business campus.

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $84,300-$140,000. Various factors may influence the final salary or hourly rate, including relevant work experience, skills, geographic location, education, and certifications.
