Job Overview
TMC Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to assist in the ongoing enhancement of vital FBI IT systems.
Eligibility Criteria
Due to federal contract stipulations, candidates must be US Citizens and hold an active Secret security clearance.
Position Details
This role is primarily remote; however, candidates may need to participate in in-person meetings with stakeholders or end users. Occasional attendance at face-to-face SAFe ceremonies may be required.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for:
- Providing hands-on engineering and administrative support within a team dedicated to Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and engineering services.
- Acting as a Senior Systems Engineer for RHEL infrastructure and systems.
- Designing, developing, or recommending integrated system solutions to safeguard proprietary and confidential data, collaborating with clients to translate functional and business requirements into technical designs, and configuring and validating operational systems.
- Supporting the project lifecycle for AWS cloud infrastructure and technology initiatives.
- Developing and maintaining secure authentication service requests utilizing Kerberos.
- Offering support for ongoing Java development utilizing Apache Tomcat hosting.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- US Citizenship and an active Secret clearance are mandatory.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in systems/software engineering is required.
- Proven experience in RHEL/Linux environments is essential.
- Experience in developing Java-based web applications is necessary.
- A strong background in leveraging AWS for application hosting is required.
- Experience with test-driven development using Agile methodologies is essential; SAFe Agile experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Pega platform development is a plus.
