Business Development Director

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our Business Development team at North East Medical Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth and enrollment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Develop and execute business development plans to achieve program growth and enrollment targets.
- Network Development: Build and maintain a robust network of business development leads and partnerships in the San Francisco and Santa Clara County communities.
- Lead Generation: Generate new referral leads through external business development activities with potential referral sources, including hospital discharge planning departments, senior centers, community organizations, social services, and home health agencies.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and metrics to identify market penetration opportunities and drive business development plans and strategies.
- Pipeline Management: Create and maintain a robust monthly referral pipeline and implement business development strategies to overcome obstacles to enrollment conversion.
- Marketing: Execute a marketing plan with effective messaging to build awareness of programs in the community.
- Team Leadership: Effectively lead, supervise, and train Business Development staff to achieve business development, growth, and enrollment targets.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required or Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of business development experience in healthcare, particularly in organizations serving the geriatric population, such as home health and hospice agencies.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years of supervising and managing teams.
- Business Development Network: Existing business development network in the San Francisco and Santa Clara County communities.
- Cultural Competence: Demonstrated experience working with the AAPI community.
- Business Development Skills: Strong background and demonstrated experience in business development in a B2B and/or professional services setting, particularly working with senior-level decision-makers.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, consensus building, project management, PR, account management, and external relations skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, poised and sharp presentation skills.
- Organizational Skills: Efficient organizational skills.
- Certifications: Currently BLS and First Aid certification required.
Language:
- English: Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write English.
- Chinese: Fluency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is preferred.
- Other Languages: Fluency in other languages is an asset.
Employment Status:
This is an FLSA Exempt position.
This is not an OSHA high-risk position.
