We are currently seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee our operations.

This role will manage the 1st Shift (7am - 3pm, Monday - Friday).

Key Responsibilities:

To excel in this position, candidates must effectively fulfill the following essential functions:

  • Oversee the execution of operational procedures while monitoring quality, production metrics, and waste management.
  • Conduct plant walkthroughs with fellow supervisors to address ongoing issues and priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to production goals regarding machinery output, quality standards, waste reduction, safety protocols, and cleanliness.
  • Authorize final job approvals for daily production activities.
  • Coordinate regular maintenance inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and initiate work orders for necessary repairs.
  • Communicate production schedules established by the Production Planner with preceding and subsequent shifts.
  • Track and manage daily attendance for all shift employees.
  • Review daily roll stock availability reports.
  • Implement and sustain a comprehensive training program for staff.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, enforcing compliance as needed.
  • Conduct timely performance evaluations for team members.
  • Facilitate monthly safety and quality meetings with staff.
  • Verify completion of daily housekeeping tasks.
  • Provide oversight for other departments in the absence of their supervisors.
  • Ensure the upkeep of production equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service Department to address inquiries regarding production capabilities.
  • Evaluate job specifications to ensure alignment with departmental capabilities for new orders.
  • Assist operators in maintaining and adjusting equipment as necessary.
  • Research potential improvements for operational efficiency, including new equipment options.
  • Develop and implement operational methods and procedures aimed at resolving issues and enhancing product quality.
  • Address customer complaints through analysis and resolution drafting, providing guidance to work crews on quality standards.
  • Participate in supervisory meetings with management to discuss quality, goals, and other operational concerns.
  • Assess staffing needs and initiate personnel actions as required.
  • Complete accident reports and facilitate medical treatment for employees when necessary.
  • Confirm job specifications during production runs.
  • Ensure materials are prepared for production for the incoming shift.
  • Foster teamwork and development among staff.
  • Coach employees across all operational areas to promote a productive work environment.
  • Plan, organize, and execute the assembly plan to meet production schedules while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor work areas for safety compliance and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive outcomes across all operational areas.
  • Supervise employee hiring, retention, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to achieve favorable results in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
