We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Injection Molding Production Supervisor to join our team at Proto Labs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and supervising the daily activities of our manufacturing area, ensuring that production output meets all applicable quality requirements and supports the production schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to production staff, ensuring that they are qualified and trained for their roles.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to all quality standards within the department, ensuring that production output meets all applicable requirements.
- Production Planning: Plan and supervise the daily activities of the manufacturing area, ensuring that production output supports the production schedule.
- Human Resources: Perform human resource tasks such as recruiting, performance management, training and development, recognition, time management, and corrective action.
- Supply Chain Management: Monitor manufacturing area supplies and equipment, initiating purchasing requests as needed.
- Process Improvement: Champion the principles of Proto Excellence by identifying and pursuing opportunities for improvement.
- 5S Implementation: Promote the concepts of 5S by maintaining clean and organized work areas, emphasizing safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization.
- 5+ years of manufacturing/warehouse/distribution experience
- 4+ years of relevant manufacturing supervision/lead experience
- INJECTION MOLDING - Previous experience in a plastics manufacturing environment is preferred, e.g., processing, setups

The employee is regularly required to sit, use a computer keyboard, monitor, and mouse, telephone, and printer; reach with hands and arms, talk, see, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
The work environment is indoors, nonsmoking, with normal safety precautions. The employee may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
