Job Summary

The Business Development Manager, Auto Care, plays a pivotal role in driving the adoption of the Auto Care program, thereby increasing NAPA parts sales for existing and new customers. This position is responsible for executing Auto Care strategic initiatives, new member enrollment, program adoption, sales promotions, and program training.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Presents and communicates the value proposition of the NAPA Auto Care program to potential members, highlighting the benefits of joining the program.
  2. Collaborates closely with NAPA Auto Care HQ to gather feedback, ideas, and field insights, which are used to drive program adoption, new membership, and sales goals.
  3. Hosts meetings in assigned territories to provide training to local sales teams on Auto Care program adoption and utilization.
  4. Achieves sales quotas for new members, co-branded projects, and sales growth in assigned territories.
  5. Supports local Business Development Group (BDG) members in meeting management, community events, and marketing efforts to attract new customers and members.
  6. Provides exceptional customer service and communication to all NAPA Auto Care centers in assigned territories by regularly visiting members to assist with program adoption, understanding customer needs, and presenting programs to address those needs.
  7. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the NAPA Auto Care program and its offerings.
  8. Reviews NAPA Auto Care monthly initiatives with sales teams to ensure a focus on program benefits.
  9. Executes weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales plans to achieve business growth opportunities aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  10. Develops and executes Auto Care sales programs and strategies to enhance the effectiveness of assigned territories, districts, and areas.
  11. Conducts regular account reviews to keep management informed of key progress indicators.
  12. Attends, organizes, and manages key events and trade shows, including NAPA Autotech market training.
  13. Regularly logs into the Auto Care member site and NAPA Connect to stay updated on new features and initiatives.
  14. Ensures all members in assigned territories have access to the member site.
  15. Consistently meets or exceeds yearly targets.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. 3-5 years of prior selling and account management experience, with a proven track record of developing new business while maintaining and growing existing business.
  2. A valid driver's license with no DWI convictions within the past four years and no more than three moving violations or two at-fault accidents in the last three years.
  3. Ability to travel within assigned territories, including overnight stays, to attend account meetings, sales meetings, and other events.
  4. Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  5. Proficiency with standard corporate productivity tools, including Qlik, PowerBI, MS Office, and CRM applications.
  6. Current role for at least six months and GPC for one year prior to applying.
  7. Last performance review reflecting meets or exceeds expectations.
  8. Not on a Performance Improvement Plan or with a written or final warning in the last 12 months.
  9. Notification of manager or HR Department prior to applying to ensure a smooth process.

Physical Demands / Working Environment
  1. Ability to safely and effectively operate a company vehicle for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  2. Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear.
  3. Frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  4. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  5. Ability to frequently attend events after hours and/or on weekends.
  6. Travel requirements upwards of 50% at any given time.
