Position Summary:
We are seeking talented Software Engineers to join our dynamic engineering team supporting a premier program. Ideal candidates will be driven to apply their expertise in developing, deploying, and maintaining sophisticated operational networks. This role is full-time and requires an active Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulating technical strategies to integrate diverse software applications through the creation of original software programs.
  • Designing and developing software applications based on a broad set of concepts provided by government entities.
  • Creating programs that fulfill specific outcomes or workflows based solely on observations or vague initial concepts.
  • Producing comprehensive specifications and design documentation, including process flows, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, physical architecture, system and web service interface specifications, data dictionaries, and data models.
  • Estimating project work requirements.
  • Implementing solutions while identifying operational or management challenges.
  • Engaging in systems design, policy formulation, database development and management, and user interface design.
  • Maximizing the use of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software in the design of applications, avoiding proprietary system implementations.

Core Duties:

  • Front-end development, including the implementation and optimization of user interface components.
  • Modernizing and maintaining the primary codebase of the application.
  • Collaborating to introduce new features, enhance existing functionalities, and address technical debt to ensure the application meets evolving mission needs.
  • Participating in transition activities such as requirement assessments, backlog reviews, documentation evaluations, and development environment setup.
  • Supporting demonstrations during sprint and product increment reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance is mandatory.

Education:

  • A four-year degree in software development or computer science is preferred.
  • Alternatively, ten years of software development experience in a production environment may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of software development experience in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with various scripting languages, programming languages, and operating systems, including but not limited to: C#, Python, PowerShell, ASP.NET, SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, and Microservices Architecture.
  • Expertise in front-end technologies to ensure a seamless and responsive user experience across multiple devices and platforms.
