Leidos is in search of a seasoned Senior IT Systems Engineer to enhance our capabilities in delivering comprehensive IT solutions. This role is pivotal in providing a variety of IT services to our clients, including software application management, infrastructure maintenance, and user support.

The selected candidate will be tasked with delivering high-level system administration expertise to oversee and sustain the hardware, networks, and web applications that facilitate communication systems utilized by our operational teams globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing security technical implementation guides (STIGs) and reinforcing server security following established guidelines.
  • Offering operational and maintenance support for critical government systems.
  • Administering Dell PowerEdge R940 servers, VMWare vSphere, Windows Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Resolving intricate systems and software challenges independently.
  • Creating and updating technical documentation and system diagrams.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience.
  • Proven expertise as a Subject Matter Expert across various operating systems, patch management, and Active Directory.
  • Capability to engage and present information to clients, including senior management.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Experience in Security Engineering.
  • Background in government contracting, particularly with the Department of Justice.
