Position Summary:

The Director of Media Analytics and Insights plays a pivotal role in delivering analytical insights and strategic guidance for a designated Spark Foundry account. This individual will serve as the primary liaison for the client regarding media strategy and performance, offering recommendations for both direct response and brand awareness campaigns. The role entails implementing data-driven methodologies and continuous learning approaches to meet the client's media objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage data to enhance media performance by shaping media plans and optimization strategies.
  • Employ relevant data and technology to advance a test-and-learn agenda aimed at boosting both conversion and awareness initiatives.
  • Analyze key factors influencing business decisions and provide recommendations to refine media strategy, creative direction, and site optimization.
  • Advocate for and implement multi-touchpoint attribution models as necessary.
  • Utilize knowledge of advertising and digital media to conduct client-specific analyses, including campaign performance projections, customer segmentation, retention analysis, and competitive market research.
  • Conduct ongoing analyses to ensure timely adjustments and optimizations of campaigns for maximum performance.
  • Identify critical metrics and methodologies to evaluate the success of digital and offline marketing campaigns against business objectives.
  • Design and oversee measurement systems for data collection and reporting.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of media, technology, and strategic performance to inform future media decisions.
  • Assess and manage the implementation of relevant data sources and tracking solutions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for measurement system project development and execution, facilitating communication among all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of experience in analytics within marketing sciences at a media agency, market research firm, or consulting company, or in-house at a brand.
  • Familiarity with syndicated media research and systems (e.g., Nielsen, comScore, GWI).
  • Experience with performance measurement data across linear and digital platforms.
  • Proficient in analyzing large datasets to uncover insightful relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of statistical techniques, including hypothesis development and experimental design.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software and a proven track record of implementing data-driven solutions that impact business outcomes.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with business leaders and develop research programs aligned with business goals.
  • Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation.
  • Capable of narrating data stories in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Adept at becoming a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues.
  • Experience with cross-channel measurement and attribution.
  • Proficient in data science and analytics platforms such as PowerBI, Tableau, Datorama, Python, Alteryx, etc.
  • Familiarity with statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS).

Note: This position operates in a hybrid model, requiring a combination of in-office and remote work.

Compensation: The compensation range for this role is $130,000 to $204,500 annually, based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
