The Strategic Division (SD) is dedicated to supporting high-reliability organizations, including the Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE). Our expanding support services encompass critical areas such as data analytics, threat assessment, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimation, earned value management, program oversight, systems engineering, independent evaluations, and prevention of High Consequence Events.

The Strategic Development Group (SDG) within SPA's Strategic Division is focused on providing essential Systems Engineering, Systems Safety, and Financial Analysis support for pivotal U.S. government initiatives. We are currently seeking a Technical Program Analyst to serve as a Subject Matter Expert.

Key Responsibilities

The Analyst will act as a Subject Matter Expert, offering support to the Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) COLUMBIA Class (CLB) Project Team. The primary focus will be on assisting the Project Team in planning and executing vital construction and testing activities that facilitate the integration of the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) aboard CLB submarines. This role will involve:

  • Engaging with senior stakeholders from both government and industry.
  • Participating in planning meetings, both in-person and virtually.
  • Reviewing and providing constructive feedback on technical plans and processes.
  • Assisting in the resolution of various issues that may arise.

This position is hybrid and part-time, requiring attendance at in-person meetings as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship with a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • A minimum of 25 years of experience in planning and executing SWS-related submarine construction and testing activities.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders across government and industry.
