Senior Manager of Global Mobility Programs
2 months ago
**This is a Temporary role**
The Senior Manager of Global Mobility Programs plays a pivotal role in overseeing and innovating the Global Ambassador initiative. This encompasses both routine operations—such as program promotion, application management, candidate selection, placement coordination, and participant assistance—as well as initiatives aimed at enhancing the program. The Ambassador initiative offers an exceptional opportunity for our top-performing consultants to immerse themselves in a different BCG office for approximately one year, gaining exposure to diverse cultures, clients, and methodologies. This experience fosters personal growth, expands international networks, and enhances cultural competence.
Key responsibilities include comprehensive program marketing, liaising with offices and candidates, leading the application process, reviewing candidates, overseeing placements, conducting participant check-ins, and analyzing feedback to ensure the program's ongoing success. The role requires close collaboration with the Global Mobility team, Mobility Managers, and Transfer Coordinators across various offices.
A critical aspect of this position involves spearheading the development and implementation of program enhancements to ensure that this flagship mobility initiative and other premier programs adapt to the evolving needs of our consultants and the organization. The role holder will engage in designing, executing, and assessing the effectiveness of changes while proposing further improvements based on feedback from offices and participants.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program Management
- Budget & Planning: Contribute to annual budget discussions with Finance, including seat allocation across offices based on size, demand, and historical participation.
- Application & Placement: Guide offices on candidate selection and eligibility. Collaborate with offices and candidates to facilitate successful placements through information sharing and process management. Conduct workshops to ensure candidates are well-informed about the program.
- Participant Support: Organize orientation workshops to prepare participants for their transition and integration. Identify potential challenges for each individual and coordinate with home and host offices to address them. Follow up with participants who are unstaffed for any duration, manage issue resolution, and escalate to mobility leadership as necessary. Conduct regular check-ins with participants and analyze feedback for trends to propose future improvements.
- Program Enhancement
- Program Improvements: Evaluate program outcomes and suggest changes to content, policies, processes, and tools to maintain high program quality. Plan and implement future initiatives in collaboration with mobility leadership.
- Selection Criteria and Process: Redefine the selection criteria for the Ambassador program to align with corporate development standards and streamline the selection process for greater efficiency.
- Program Experience: Innovate the program experience to provide a unique mobility journey that equips future leaders with the necessary geographic and topical insights to meet business demands.
- Cost Optimization: Revise the program structure to maximize return on investment and reallocate resources as needed to achieve higher efficiency.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience, ideally in management consulting or a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project and process management expertise.
- Familiarity with BCG systems and processes is advantageous.
- Solid analytical capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
The role involves working closely with BCG's HR team, which is dedicated to attracting, developing, and retaining top talent in the market. The HR team manages the entire employee lifecycle—from recruiting exceptional talent to fostering their professional growth and supporting their career mobility.
