Community Inclusion Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Inclusion Specialist to join our team at Resources for Human Development. As a Community Inclusion Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities and/or autism in the community.
Job Summary:The Community Inclusion Specialist will create and facilitate outings designed to promote independence and confidence. You will work with participants to increase community involvement, develop new skills, build social ties, and connect them with relevant opportunities to help meet their larger goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and oversee participants in the community on a daily basis to achieve their personal goals and participate in activities and/or events.
- Meet the basic needs of our participants while in the community, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as required.
- Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and behavior plans as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of participants' ISPs and personal needs to work with them in a meaningful and productive way.
- Track receipts and expenditures for reconciliation.
- Complete all required paperwork, including case notes on a regular and timely basis.
- Drive personal vehicle or use public transportation to assist individuals in accessing the community.
- Attend to basic first aid when needed.
- One year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Competitive and generous pay at $22/hour.
- A $1,000 signing bonus for full-time and a $500 signing bonus for part-time positions.
