Location: Everett, WA

Position Overview:

SSi People is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to enhance our Facilities Engineering and Technology team. This role is essential in maintaining the infrastructure that supports our manufacturing and aviation operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and finalize complex designs, cost assessments, and provide ongoing support for civil and structural components of facilities.
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment.
  • Ensure civil and structural designs meet customer specifications, building codes, and industry regulations.
  • Review contractor modifications to maintain accuracy in drawing archives and compliance with standards.
  • Support construction activities by evaluating vendor proposals and monitoring project execution.
  • Prepare and present project documentation to ensure adherence to construction guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Produce detailed design documents and coordinate customer requirements into viable design solutions.
  • Update design standards and operational procedures to promote consistency across projects.
  • Participate in infrastructure planning and project management with minimal supervision.
  • Analyze current conditions and future needs, gathering data to inform design alternatives.
  • Conduct code research and assist in developing initial project timelines.
  • Manage project management information and assist in defining contract scopes.
  • Interpret relevant regulations and standards to ensure project compliance.
  • Provide alternative solutions to meet compliance and assist in securing necessary permits.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, construction, facilities management, or project management.
  • 3+ years of experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • 3+ years of proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
