Role Summary:

The Aircraft Structures Analysis Engineer is responsible for applying a comprehensive understanding of structural analysis techniques and tools for both metallic and composite aircraft structures. The engineer ensures that the aircraft maintains adequate strength to withstand all operational conditions throughout its service life. Additionally, the engineer guarantees that the aircraft structure complies with all relevant design criteria, including fail-safety, durability, and damage tolerance when applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document structural requirements to inform system design.
  • Collaborate with various engineering teams to define the product's operational environment.
  • Utilize analytical methods, finite element models, and simulations to guide product design and verify structural integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Create test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze/report test outcomes to ensure systems and components meet specified requirements.
  • Document certification and test results to demonstrate compliance to customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the evaluation of in-service products by investigating failures and proposing enhancements.
  • Operate under general supervision while contributing to team objectives.

Work Authorization:

This position requires compliance with export control regulations. Candidates must qualify as a "U.S. Person" as defined by relevant regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in engineering classifications such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
  • Proficiency in stress analysis methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience for higher-level positions or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated engineering expertise in a Structural and/or Aerospace context.
  • Experience with Fatigue or Durability Analysis and Finite Element Analysis is advantageous.

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2): Bachelor of Science degree with 2+ years of experience in an engineering role or a Master of Science degree with relevant experience.

Experienced (Level 3): Bachelor of Science degree with 5+ years of experience or a Master of Science degree with 3+ years of experience.

Senior (Level 4): Bachelor of Science degree with 9+ years of experience or a Master of Science degree with 7+ years of experience.

Relocation: Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
