SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER - EPMO
WHAT IS THE ROLE?
The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is tasked with overseeing significant initiatives across the organization.

This role is pivotal in orchestrating the planning, execution, and successful realization of one or more strategic programs, guiding project teams and Project Managers responsible for various components.

This encompasses designing program or project frameworks, establishing plans to fulfill a defined business strategy, and managing substantial program budgets.

The EPMO Program Manager must possess the ability to swiftly evaluate the health of the program portfolio and propose enhancements to boost delivery effectiveness.

This role will supervise intricate cross-departmental change initiatives in accordance with City National Bank's Enterprise Change Management Framework.

They will critically assess program status in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to ensure effective risk and issue management throughout the project lifecycle.

Program components may involve aspects such as organizational structure, processes, operational support, and technology.

This position will be crucial in steering and monitoring program activities, negotiating adjustments in plans, and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders and senior leadership.

Success will be gauged by the implementation and fulfillment of strategic objectives and the realization of the program's anticipated benefits and outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and drive the delivery of program objectives, coordinating activities across multiple departments and projects to achieve program goals.
• Define and implement program governance structures to ensure successful delivery and manage program risks.
• Oversee large, complex programs and projects as necessary.
• Review and endorse project plans for alignment with program strategy, timelines, and schedules.
• Lead and facilitate high-level meetings to gather program requirements and develop schedules and milestone metrics.
• Accountable to program stakeholders and senior management for timelines, budgets, quality, and outcomes of all program elements.
• Act as a communication liaison with key stakeholders, coordinating and conducting regular briefings/status updates.
• Develop strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
• Understand interdependencies across programs.
• Provide guidance and leadership to a matrixed Program & Project Team.
• Manage a team of junior program/project managers.
• Adhere to City National Bank's Project Management Guidelines and delivery methodologies when applicable.
• Fully comply with all Bank Operational policies and procedures and complete all required training.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing PMO functions and/or complex change programs/projects with multi-departmental impact.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking/financial services and/or technology sectors.
• PMP certification or Master's Degree preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with banking experience.
• Experience in Commercial and Consumer lending is highly desirable.
• Management Consulting background is advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle, with the ability to assess impacts on people, processes, and technology, manage scope, schedule, risks, and deliver project outcomes.
• Proven ability to drive organizational change and structure program governance and reporting at the portfolio level.
• Experience in structured analysis, strategy, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

Compensation:
• Starting base salary: $111,408 - $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
