Senior Solar Installation Supervisor

Operations Director

POSITION SUMMARY:


The Senior Solar Installation Supervisor will operate under the direct guidance of the Operations Director, overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and coordination of daily operations related to solar energy system installations and maintenance for designated projects, adhering to company protocols.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Solar Installation Supervisor will also be tasked with the management and training of solar installation teams on each project, including but not limited to the following responsibilities:


Accurately determine the layout of system components based on provided schematics, ensuring that installations are weatherproof and comply with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Verify that all necessary insurance documentation and relevant workers' compensation regulations are established before work initiation.


Assess project specifications for procedural plans, timelines, and staffing needs for each project phase.

Conduct comprehensive testing and ground measurements following installation, making necessary adjustments to guarantee optimal performance.

Interpret project specifications and company policies to team members and/or subcontractors while enforcing safety protocols.

Identify and resolve conflicts at the job site, including employee concerns and grievances.

Collaborate with Project Managers on site evaluations, permitting processes, and budget establishment for each project.

Ensure proper positioning and alignment of solar panels for maximum energy efficiency.

Responsible for the accurate labeling, installation, and termination of electrical connections.


Maintain open and effective communication with supervisory personnel regarding all project activities while ensuring the health and safety of all SEL Construction employees, subcontractors, project teams, clients, and assets in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and industry standards.

Promote and maintain an organized work environment.


Keep current and valid certifications as required by SEL Construction and mandated by safety regulations and laws.


CORE COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a
COMMERCIAL Solar Installation Lead
REQUIRED
At least 3 years of experience in the
COMMERCIAL Solar Sector
REQUIRED
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in the use of standard hand and power tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven capacity to work effectively in a team setting.

Demonstrated strong work ethic.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD REQUIRED - DRIVING RECORD WILL BE VERIFIED PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This role necessitates frequent, mandatory travel within the state of Texas.
TRAVEL IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, the employee may encounter ongoing construction activities and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to loud, and this position is primarily conducted outdoors.

Communicate verbally and/or listen.

Handle and/or manipulate tools and equipment.

SPECIFIC VISION ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Close vision, reading, color identification and differentiation.

Distant vision, reading, color identification and differentiation.

Peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
