Position Summary:

As a Senior Accounting Specialist, you will be instrumental in upholding the accuracy of our financial records, preparing comprehensive financial statements, and performing in-depth financial analysis. You will work alongside various teams, offering valuable insights that aid in financial planning and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a robust accounting background, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to operate autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring precision and adherence to accounting standards.
  2. General Ledger Management: Oversee and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  3. Month-end and Year-end Closing: Spearhead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of necessary adjusting entries.
  4. Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis and variance assessments, providing insights to support strategic initiatives.
  5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to aid in budget formulation and financial forecasting.
  6. Audit Assistance: Support the coordination of external audits and supply necessary documentation to auditors.
  7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, standards, and relevant laws and regulations.
  8. Tax Compliance: Assist in tax preparation and compliance activities, working closely with tax professionals.
  9. Process Enhancement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to enhance accounting procedures.
  10. Financial Documentation: Maintain organized and current financial records, including supporting documentation.
  11. Cross-department Collaboration: Work with departments such as procurement, sales, and operations to provide financial guidance and support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA or advanced degree is advantageous).
  • Demonstrated experience as a staff accountant with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
