Freedom Forever is seeking an Installer for our operations.

The Installer's role encompasses the assembly, installation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on various surfaces (including rooftops and ground mounts). Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, measuring, cutting, drilling, working at heights, performing minor electrical tasks, assisting with structural enhancements, utilizing hand and power tools, interpreting plan sets, adhering to directives, following safety protocols, and supporting senior installation team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Transporting project materials to and from the company vehicle
  • Managing the delivery of materials to installation sites
  • Efficiently assembling all roof components in a safe manner
  • Executing electrical tasks as directed by the crew leader, both independently and under supervision
  • Installing projects in accordance with Freedom Forever's plan sets
  • Sealing penetrations as necessary to ensure project integrity
  • Providing guidance and support to junior installers
  • Ensuring compliance with Freedom Forever policies and relevant codes (e.g., NFPA-70, IRC, IFC, CA-T24)
  • Adhering strictly to all safety regulations and policies
  • Following instructions from senior crew members
  • Offering suggestions for efficiency and compliance improvements through proper channels
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction
  • May require direct communication with end users
  • Some travel may be necessary
  • May involve driving a company vehicle
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in PV installation (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Basic understanding of all PV products installed by Freedom Forever
  • Familiarity with building standards and applicable codes
  • Effective communication skills
  • Compliant installation of conduit (EMT, RMC, IMC, LFMC, and FMC)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Special Skills & Training:
  • Completion of all assigned Freedom Forever training modules by the designated due date
  • Optional training (both internal and external) may be pursued at the employee's discretion outside of business hours
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel for business purposes may be required, necessitating a valid Driver's License and insurance, along with the ability to drive to various sites.
