Job Title: Executive Chef

Reports To: Executive Chef

Direct Reports: Executive Sous and Sous Chefs

At Roberta's MSG, we're seeking an experienced chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for guiding multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring a positive and productive working environment. Your strong leadership skills and natural ability to build a team will be essential in driving our kitchen's success.

Qualifications:

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to positively impact prime costs
  • 3+ years of kitchen management experience in aspirational restaurants
  • Food Handler's certificate that meets local requirements
  • Exceptional eye for detail

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Flexibility to work any station in the restaurant & takeout
  • Set the standards for safe work habits and DOH compliance
  • Ability to do staff schedule, payroll and other administrative tasks as required
  • Menu/recipe development in conjunction with chef/owner and Executive Chef
  • Help meet company objectives in sales, standards, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication to the team
  • Develop both hourly and management staff in all areas of managerial and professional development
  • Manage labor to cover the needs of business while meeting labor targets
