Position: Insurance Authorization Specialist in Healthcare

Location: Remote – Onsite Role
Employment Type: Contract (4+ months with potential for permanent placement)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, ranging from $21 to $26 per hour
Eligibility: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Our client is seeking a skilled Insurance Authorization Specialist with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. A criminal background check and drug screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, confirm, and relay essential information to clients' insurance providers to secure diagnostic and behavioral health benefits along with prior authorization requirements.
  • Validate member eligibility and behavioral health benefits.
  • Prepare and complete an Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
  • Ensure service payments by confirming benefits with the insurance provider.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies to guarantee that any modifications to authorization requests or referral forms are submitted appropriately.
  • Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, collaborating within a team of 4 to 5 members.

Qualifications: A minimum of two years of experience in insurance authorization within a healthcare environment is required. Experience in Behavioral or Mental Health settings is preferred, with additional experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) being a significant advantage. Candidates must possess excellent customer service skills. A criminal background check and drug screening are mandatory.
