Insurance Authorization Specialist - HEALTHCARE
POSITION OVERVIEW
Role Type: Contract position with potential for extension
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications
Eligibility: US Citizens or Green Card Holders only
GTN Technical Staffing and Consulting is seeking an experienced Insurance Authorization Specialist with a minimum of two years in the field.
A thorough background check and drug screening will be conducted.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, confirm, and relay essential information to clients' insurance providers to secure diagnostic and behavioral health benefits as well as prior authorization details.
- Assess member plan eligibility and verify behavioral health benefits.
- Prepare an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documentation.
- Ensure service payments by validating benefits with insurance entities.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to confirm that any modifications to authorization requests or referral documentation are properly submitted.
- Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, within a team of 4 to 5 professionals.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess at least two years of experience in insurance authorization within a healthcare context. Experience in Behavioral or Mental Health settings is preferred, with additional consideration for candidates familiar with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) environments. Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
