Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Community Programs Coordinator is instrumental in enhancing Early Childhood Experiences through training initiatives for Family, Friend, and Neighbor caregivers. This role involves close collaboration with the Program Supervisor to deliver administrative assistance and ensure adherence to established Standards of Practice and contractual obligations. Key responsibilities encompass the coordination of volunteer efforts, creation of outreach materials, and oversight of in-kind contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer Management: Oversee the operational and administrative functions of the volunteer engagement program.
  • Program Support: Create outreach materials and assist the FFN Caregiver Training team.
  • Community Outreach: Identify potential community partners and spearhead the Community Engagement and Outreach Strategy.

Supervisory Duties: Direct and manage volunteers, interns, and staff as needed to achieve program goals.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Services, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in working with young children is essential.
  • Familiarity with human service systems and available resources.
  • Proficient in computer operations and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Current certifications in CPR and First Aid, along with a valid Level 1 Fingerprint Card.
  • Must pass background and motor vehicle checks.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to engage with diverse communities, faith leaders, and congregations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Capacity to connect with individuals from various backgrounds.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • May require prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Ability to operate office equipment using hands.
  • Effective listening and communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to lift and/or move items weighing over 25 lbs when necessary.
  • Noise levels in the work environment may vary.
