Job Overview:

The Nutrition Specialist will be an integral member of the wellness team at Professional Nurse Partners, engaging with clients through both in-person and virtual consultations. This role emphasizes collaboration with the healthcare team to foster health improvements and support clients in achieving their wellness objectives.

The Nutrition Specialist will play a crucial role in guiding clients towards healthier lifestyles and mitigating health risks through our comprehensive wellness initiatives.

This position primarily involves collaborating with the clinical team to deliver personalized nutrition counseling tailored to each client's unique health and wellness aspirations.

Health advocacy and coaching are vital components of our holistic healthcare strategy, empowering clients to take charge of their health and derive benefits from our services.

The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented individual capable of partnering effectively with the clinical operations team to facilitate innovative health management program development and execution.

This role will initially be part-time with the potential to transition into a full-time position.

Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Director of Health Management

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and formulate tailored nutrition plans.

Guide clients in establishing healthy eating habits and achieving weight management goals.

Employ a holistic, functional medicine approach that considers the whole person.

Provide balanced nutritional strategies and recommendations.

Discuss and advise on effective weight management options.

Support clients in reaching their nutritional goals with sound, personalized plans.

Identify appropriate behavioral modifications and dietary strategies for diverse populations.


Evaluate clients' dietary needs by analyzing their health, exercise routines, sleep patterns, stress levels, and eating habits.

Clarify nutritional information for clients and explain the impact of nutrients on their overall health.

Offer counseling and suggest positive dietary changes to accommodate clients' restrictions.

Create comprehensive, individualized nutrition plans that encourage healthy living.

Set clear objectives and provide ongoing support to clients to track their progress.


Engage in scientific research to enhance knowledge in the field, focusing on the effects of nutrients and dietary benefits on bodily functions.

Write and disseminate educational articles to inform the public while supporting organizational communication efforts.

Present educational topics from Professional Nurse Partners to individual clients and groups, utilizing both live and virtual platforms.


Possess experience in designing specialized meal plans for various health concerns, including digestive issues, detoxification, autoimmune conditions, and women's health.


Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience as a nutrition professional.

In-depth understanding of biochemistry and human physiology.

Familiarity with research methodologies and data analysis.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Creative problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Bachelor's degree in nutritional science, dietetics, or a related field.

Valid license or certification to practice as a nutrition consultant.

Knowledge and experience in meal planning tailored to individual needs.

Education and Training:
Relevant experience may be required.

Bachelor's degree in nutrition is preferred.
