This role primarily focuses on collaborating with the clinical team to provide personalized nutrition counseling tailored to each client's unique health and wellness objectives.
Health advocacy and coaching are integral components of our holistic healthcare approach, empowering clients to take charge of their health and fostering value for both individuals and the organization.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, effectively partnering with the clinical operations team to support the development and implementation of innovative health management programs.
This position will begin as part-time with the potential to transition to full-time.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Director of Health Management
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of client needs and develop personalized nutrition plans.
2. Guide clients in adopting healthy eating habits and achieving weight management goals.
3. Utilize a holistic approach that considers the whole person.
4. Advise on balanced nutritional strategies.
5. Discuss and recommend weight management options.
6. Assist clients in reaching their nutritional goals with effective plans.
7. Recognize and implement appropriate behavioral changes and dietary modifications for various demographics.
8. Evaluate dietary needs by assessing health metrics, exercise levels, sleep patterns, stress factors, and eating habits.
9. Clarify nutritional information and explain the impact of nutrients on overall health.
10. Provide counseling and suggest positive dietary changes to accommodate clients' restrictions.
11. Create comprehensive nutrition plans that encourage healthy lifestyles.
12. Set clear objectives and support clients in their progress.
13. Conduct research to enhance knowledge in the field, focusing on nutrient impacts and dietary benefits.
14. Write educational articles to inform the public while supporting organizational communication efforts.
15. Present educational topics to clients in both individual and group settings, utilizing live and virtual platforms.
16. Demonstrate experience in developing specialized meal plans for specific health concerns.
Required Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a nutrition professional.
2. In-depth understanding of biochemistry and human physiology.
3. Familiarity with research methodologies and data analysis.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Creativity and critical thinking abilities.
6. Degree in nutritional science, dietetics, or a related field.
7. Valid certification or license to practice as a nutrition consultant.
8. Knowledge and experience in meal planning tailored to individual needs.
Education and Training:
Relevant experience may be required.
A bachelor's degree in nutrition is preferred.
