Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at the University of Washington. This role involves supporting various financial functions across multiple departments, ensuring efficient management of fiscal resources.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for:
1. Establishing and maintaining comprehensive fiscal record-keeping and reporting systems.
2. Analyzing and developing budgets for grants, contracts, and program funds.
3. Coordinating essential fiscal support functions, including payroll processing, travel reimbursements, and purchasing activities.
4. Forecasting fiscal requirements and developing long-term planning documents.
5. Consulting with funding agencies to address issues and secure approvals for deviations from standard procedures.
6. Preparing specialized reports and conducting studies to justify fiscal requests.
7. Potentially overseeing the work of junior staff members.
