Job Summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Afterschool Program Attendant.

About the Role

The Afterschool Program Attendant will play a vital role in supporting the academic and social development of students in our community. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising students, assisting with homework completion, and providing individualized support to help students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise students in a safe and supportive environment
  • Assist students with homework completion and provide individualized support
  • Collaborate with directors and other attendants to ensure a positive and productive learning environment
  • Provide emotional and social support to students as needed

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and youth
  • Confidence in working with large groups
  • Ability to work collaboratively with directors and other attendants

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, directors, and other staff members
