About the Role:

Reporting to GoDaddy's Chief Strategy and Legal Officer, the Senior Vice President of Strategic Growth will lead, mentor, and develop a talented team of corporate development specialists and analysts. This team is dedicated to driving growth and enhancing GoDaddy's market presence through strategic investments and acquisitions. This pivotal role is essential for shaping our future growth through investments and acquisitions, introducing innovative capabilities, enhancing existing offerings, and expanding our market opportunities.

The Corporate Development team collaborates closely with senior leaders across various business units and the strategy team to execute strategic investments and acquisitions aligned with our long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the Corporate Development team, fostering excellence in developing, structuring, negotiating, and finalizing high-level acquisitions and strategic investments.
  • Build strong strategic relationships with executives and business unit leaders to identify and expedite investment and acquisition opportunities.
  • Work closely with the strategy team to align investment and acquisition opportunities with our long-term strategic and operational goals.
  • Establish and maintain a systematic process for sourcing, evaluating, and advancing acquisition opportunities efficiently, from due diligence to closing.
  • Oversee all aspects of projects to ensure financial success through detailed case modeling and due diligence.
  • Regularly assess our portfolio to ensure optimization through divestitures and other corporate actions.
  • Leverage and expand our network with venture capitalists, startups, investment banks, and other industry partners to identify potential targets.
  • Coordinate partnerships across our investment and acquisition activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in developing a corporate development function within a technology or tech-enabled global organization.
  • 15+ years of extensive transaction experience in a large corporation, investment bank, private equity firm, or management consulting firm.
  • Comprehensive experience across all aspects of deal execution, including target identification, analysis, due diligence, negotiation, and post-deal integration.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a knack for creative problem-solving that enhances value for GoDaddy and its shareholders.
  • Strong ability to independently lead deals, with significant experience in sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex transactions.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects concurrently while aligning seamlessly with product, tech, corporate, and related teams.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging partners at all levels.
  • Consistent track record in mentoring, coaching, and continuous learning for both direct reports and personal development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in multiple global organizations across investment banking, private equity, and/or management consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Computer Science.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration.
